In 2005 a sub-group of the then Kirkhill and Bunchrew Community Trust was established to upgrade the dilapidated playpark in the village. In two phases the equipment was upgraded in 2007 after the princely sum of around £70,000 was raised. The Trust leases the playpark area, owns the equipment and has an agreement with Highland Council under which the Council managed the instalment and looks after the ongoing maintenance of the equipment. The playpark is well used being located in the centre of the village and close to housing, the Community Centre and the school. In all a much used and loved facility and a demonstration of the role that the Trust can play in making a difference within the community.
