Our aim is to have festive streetlights dotted around the village to ensure Kirkhill continues to shine brightly each Christmas!

We are a small group of volunteers who provide Christmas streetlights for Kirkhill. We hold fundraising events through the year, including coffee mornings, gala stalls and wine raffles. Money raised goes to buying new lights, covering the electricity bill and servicing the lights ahead of the festive season.

Our Grand Light Switch On event usually happens at the end of November .  The community comes together to celebrate the start of the Christmas festivities.  Stalls are set up where we sell various items including hot chocolate, mulled wine, glow sticks and marshmallows for toasting on our fire pit.  We also have food vendors come and join us and of course Santa pays a visit!  Live music and singing carols are always a great hit, along with the grand count down to turning on the lights around the village and on our beautiful Christmas tree.
